Top 5 Ways to Detox your Home for Spring

Happy Spring!! Even though the weather doesn’t quite feel like spring this week, today officially marks the start of Spring. The birds are chirping, buds are blooming and nature is getting ready for the season. Are you ready for a fresh start too?

There are many ways we can hit reset and create a clean and healthy living environment. When we do this we are signaling to our hormones and endocrine system that we are safe, we are healthy, and we are balanced. When you breathe clean air, drink clean water, use low toxin products, and eat fresh, organic fruits and vegetables your body has a chance at balancing your hormones. When you are exposed to toxins in your food, air, water, and products your body can become overwhelmed with endocrine disrupters. In others words, toxins can mimic estrogen and therefore your body can become confused and imbalanced.

How can we work towards this balance?

1.) Breathe Clean Air- Use an air purifier. I love the Coway Air purifier. A simple light tells you the quality of your air and when the filters need to be replaced. The filters reduce pollen, dust, mold, VOCS, and other common allergens. There is a washable pre-filter, an activated carbon filter, and Green True HEPA Filter which effectively reduces 99.999% of 0.01-micron particles in the air.

2.) Eat Whole Foods- Organic fruits and vegetables provide all the nutrients you need to reset for Spring without the pesticides and chemicals.

3.) Use Clean Beauty Products- Everything we use on our skin becomes part of our body- part of that balance or imbalance.
