Finding Balance

March 2024

Dear Friends,

Thank you for joining us as we discuss health, wellness, and balance in our lives.

Did you know that small changes in your day to day routine can support your overall rhythm and balance your hormones.  Our body is made up of systems.  Systems that require rhythm and balance in nutrition, our environment, and our routines.   What small changes can you do right now to support your own systems and your individual rhythm?  Here are a few routines I lean into daily.

Wellness Tips:

Sleep- Start by getting 7-8 hours of sleep each night.  Our body requires sleep in order to detox, restore our energy centers, and to balance our hormones.   Use darkening shades and dim the lights before bed to support your circadian rhythm.  Limit screen time before bed.

Nutrition- Make sure you are balancing each meal to prevent blood sugar crashes and spikes.  As a rule of thumb- women need about 30 grams of protein per meal depending on your height/weight.  Balancing your protein, healthy fats, and carbs will give your body the energy and clarity it needs to be successful throughout your day.

Air- Open your windows for twenty minutes each day to exchange the air.  Dust, mold, and other allergens build up in our air.  The quality of the air we breathe is critical for a healthy immune and endocrine system.

Movement- Daily movement supports our lymphatic system.  Think fluid- feeling puffy or bloated?  Moving your body through walking, yoga, or light jogging can decrease fluid retention and support your lymph.

Stay tuned for more wellness tips!  Join us in late March as we dive deep into “detoxing your home”.  We will meet weekly and learn about the evidence behind how toxins can disrupt your hormones.  I will share easy ways to clean up your environment in order to support your hormones and overall health.  Hope to see you there!
